You'll Never Suffer Alone

This has been a good year for my favourite club Liverpool FC. Even though they finished 5th at the end of the 2004-05 EPL season, they eventually went on to capture the biggest prize in Europe, the UEFA Champions League trophy! Look at where Everton are now even though they have automatically qualified for the Champions League season 2005-06 by finishing a notch above my beloved Reds?

With 2005 still fresh in my memories, I present you the best of the lot as a Liverpool FC fan...

Winning the UEFA Champions League and watching the game with my 2 Liverpool mates and only 7 people at the deserted Hollandse Club on that fateful night. Even though I missed the atmosphere at the Liverpool Fan Club, I experienced all the anguish, the nail-biting, the unexpected and in the end, the joy and tearing moments on that special night with my mates!Even though the match ended at around 6am, we didn't head back straight home, actually went for breakfast and we couldn't sleep the whole morning!

Getting onto the open top bus to celebrate Liverpool's Champions League victory with all the LFC fans in Singapore was another unforgetable experience. We sang and sang along the way, passing through Orchard Road, it was hard to describe, you've got to go through it in order to find ou how it really feels!

Steven Gerrard super strike against Olympiacos in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. I was jumpiing and screaming even though it was already 4 something in the early morning. Without this goal, Liverpool won't have achieve the ultimate feat.

Morientes joining the Reds. It was almost like a dream come true for me because Morientes is one of my favourite player even though he was playing for Real Madrid and Monaco.

Liverpool beating Chelsea on the way to the final of the UEFA Champions League Final. It was oh so sweet as we have lost to Chelsea in the Carling Cup Final earlier. It was Garcia's goal and Cech must count himself lucky not to be sent off. Shout up all you silly brainless Cheski pigs out there!

You'll Still Never Walk Alone... in 2006

Upon looking at the majestic Golden Gate Bridge (which I just know that King Kong was once having fun shooting there in the first King Kong movie), we moved on to the Fishermen's Wharf which was located at Pier 39. One thing our tour guide kept mentioning about this place was it's famous Clam Chowder and the Alcatraz Prison! This Pier used to be a fishermen's heaven for catching fish, but now it has been transformed to a shopping mall, where little shops filled up the whole stretch of the street that leads to the pier.

How can we give Hard Rock a miss?!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
That seems to be the only sport, beside NBA, that you can find in the whole of California! No EPL, football at all! Sucks man! The Americans are boring!

Who's under the bridge? Me lah!

Chocolate heaven, oh yeah, it was nothing but chocolate in this shop!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
They were so crazy that they even created a bible verse out of chocolate!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
And they even claimed that chocolate is better than SEX?! Are they serious??!!

They were alot of sea birds and seals resting on the rocks behind us. But I don't think we can see them from this photo.

Behind me is the Pacific Ocean! Can't believe it!

Look at the tree behind us. It is the most beautiful tree in the world. Hey, not joking. It's recorded in the World Record's Book!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
See for yourself the most beautiful tree in the world again! You know, this tree has been standing on bare rocks for almost 250 years without getting blown down by the strong wind blowing from the Pacific Ocean. Survivor indeed!

Hope you will survive for another 2500years, tree!

Hello to you who is reading this at this present moment from the comfort of your armchair at home or sneekingly surfing the net in the office. First of all... guess it's not too late to wish you "MERRY CHRISTMAS" (it lasts 12 days!) From today onwards, I hope I can show you daily some pics taken while I was enjoying my honeymoon in California. So sit back and let the journey begins...

Before we begin our taunting 14 hours flight to San Franscico, we stopover at Hong Kong for our transit.

Finally, we landed at San Franscico Airport! Thought I won't survive the 18 hours flight... But in the end, the whole flight went well. Trust and travel SQ always! I didn't manage to sleep much on the flight. Guess I can't sleep sitting up! Managed to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on board and also Goal!

Twin Peak

We made our way to the top of San Franscico (it's called Twin Peaks) where we had a great aerial view of the whole city.

Weather was around 10 deg C, which was so comfortable for me, but not for the one besides me! Hee hee...

Great view isn't it?

City Hall

Then we made our way to their City Hall. Check out the dome of this building! There are plenty of gold used and it costs a bomb to build!
