Yes, the dust of Spain's glorious Euro victory has settled down and it's time to cheer our respective beloved English clubs for the upcoming EPL season! Who will win the title come next May? Who are the top contenders to suffer relegation? How will the newly promoted teams fare? Which player will make the biggest headline during the season? Now is the time for you to make your guesses before the first match kick off at the Emirates this evening.
The defending champion Man U has not make any signings this season but their squad is still as strong as ever, that is, provided Ronaldo stays. But with the willy old fox at their helm, you won't bet against them retaining the title. As much as I hate to see the Red Devils retain the throne, I must say Sir Alex has made Man United such a tough nut to crack.
This season will be a massive one for them because they can match my beloved Liverpool's 18th league titles if they do retain the crown. For Liverpool, I believe Reds fans around the world will be praying hard that even their own team do not get the title, someone else will halt the Red Devils' march. My team has made a lot of signings but their reputations will count for nothing if they do not live up to expectations and deliver. The American owners internal scuffle may once again derail my team chances of delivering the 1st Premier League title. Finger crossed. Benitez has managed to get Sammy Lee as his right hand man which I hope will enhance the team's performance on the pitch.
Chelsea looks as strong as ever, and after last season's double heartache at the hands of Man United, their players will be much more determined to produce the goods on the pitch. Deco is a excellent signing for the Blues and if he can handle the robustness of the English game, he should be do fine. But their biggest signing has got to be installing Scolari as their head coach. The fact that he has managed to make Lampard stay on with Chelsea in favour of joining Mourinho's Inter speaks volume of the charisma that Big Phil possessed.
Arsene Wenger, aka MR AW, is certainly one of my favourite coach. His team style of play and his ability to unearth raw young talents are why Arsenal are doing so well. Of course, the rest of the Arsenal backroom team deserved those praises. One to look out for this season is the Mexican Vela. He is intelligent, skilful and can score spectacular goals. Well I should not say too much about Arsenal for now because i think my Brother should be the better person to tell you why Arsenal will do well! Haha... I hope they do well, really from the bottom of my heart...(please look at my prediction below)
