Glen Johnson was today unveiled as a Liverpool player at Anfield. So what are my thoughts about him? To be honest, he is not one of my favourite players because he had played for Chelsea before. Silly thought, you may think. When he was at Chelsea, I always hope he will play against Liverpool because he was the weak link. He didn't have the best of times there and was in and out of the Chelsea team until he was finally omitted after Chelsea bought Bosingwa. He joined Portsmouth and it was only last season that I see his talent. Offensively, he can provide really good crosses and is never afraid to let fly a shot from far. Based on this part of his game, I do see a lot of potential in him that he can contribute to Liverpool's attacking play. Defensively, I think he needs to be a little bit tougher and focused to do a good job for Liverpool. He also need to balance both his offensive and defensive duties well. However important it is for a fullback to have good attacking sense, he is still afterall a defender and should do his primary duty well.
