My Thursday

Today's class was very shun li...I scolded and managed them well! haha.... P5 naughty ones were surprisely well-behaved, the obedient ones were the nosier ones...gila, i also don't know why...
P6 Art class seems to enjoy creating the YOG poster. The stupid external Art vendor is still not here yet...P2 beginning to look very serious in class, sometimes when I cracked jokes, they don't laugh (they take my lesson too seriously or am I just lame?!)

Today, as usual, went to the church for RCIA lesson after work. Today's lesson was different from previous because we were shown a video about St Francis of Assisi. I was feeling quite bored at the beginning of the show, probably because it was an old film, coupled by the fact that it has poor picture and sound qualities. But at the end of the show, I was inspired to find out more about St Francis and St Clare...haha

Alright show with you some interesting facts I have found out from wikipedia.

St Clare :
1)Founded the Order of Poor Ladies, now commonly known as Poor Clares.
2)Made Patron Saint of Television by Pope Pius XI in 1958! This was based on the fact that when she was too ill to attend Mass , she had reportedly been able to see and hear it on the wall of her room.
3)Clares' parents wanted her to marry a rich man but she fled her home and sought refuge with St Francis.
4)She is not only venerated by the Roman Catholic Church, but also the Anglican and Lutheran Churches.

St Francis :
1)His real name is Giovanni Francesco Bernardone (Francesco in English is "Francis").
2)Although nativity drawings and paintings existed earlier, St Francis of Assisi celebrated Christmas by setting up the first known three-dimensional presepio or Nativity scene in the town of Greccio near Assisi, around 1220. He used real animals to create a living scene so that the worshipers could contemplate the birth of the child Jesus in a direct way.
3)He is said to have had a vision on or about September 14, 1224, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, as a result of which he received the stigmate. Brother Leo, who had been with Francis at the time, left a clear and simple account of the event, the first definite account of the phenomenon of stigmata. "Suddenly he saw a vision of a seraph, a six-winged angel on a cross. This angel gave him the gift of the five wounds of Christ."
